2018, the start of something new...

If you have taken anything away from my webpage, it is that my main skills and passion lie in producing. However, I have been on a work experience role for around 1 month and a half now, and it has tested me on many over aspects, especially editing. A worrying factor for me at the start, because I like editing, it's a useful skill to have in the industry, but I thought my talents lied elsewhere...

After editing a short 60 second video I really got into it. Started taking out all my first year notes, and went to the university library, as well as watching tutorials on YouTube. This made me realise how versatile I could be, and helped with my confidence. Since then, I am embarking on a new project, a collective promotional video for Guildford, Surrey so people can explore what attractions it has to offer on their webpage.

I am incredibly excited! I have my own little project to work on, and I'm finding my feet at Tourist Network, which stands great stead for the future. Nervous was an understatement at the start, I didn't want to make any mistakes, however, learning from your mistakes is one of the greatest lessons...

From next week I will be in Guildford, Surrey, shooting and editing a short video promoting their shopping centre and busy high streets for the Visit Guildford website.
