Final year at Southampton Solent

Only a few weeks into my final year, and already I'm working hard everyday, trying to keep on top of all my units. However, this blog isn't a 'vent' on how much work I have, but it's about the journey I've had for these past 2 years, and how it has made me the person I am today.

I'm aspiring to be a producer, it's my passion. I love the industry, and I feel that my time at university has opened many doors for me, and helped me figure out which path to take. For anyone thinking about going to study the creative arts, I would recommend it. For me, it has created the person I am, and the drive I have to make it into the industry. I am proud to say that I have conducted my own work experience for two weeks in London, which was a great time to really put my skills into action as a production assistant.

For my final year, I want to make sure I get the best out of it. For one of my units, we have to create a portfolio showcasing ourselves, and how we sell ourselves. This is really exciting for me, and I can't wait to see what path I'll take after I graduate.

What I shouldn't forget for my final year, is keeping up to date with robinson freelance in social media, and on YouTube. I believe that this is a chance to show myself and my skills, and create a brand for me, something personal. This is another thing I've learnt on this journey, how we are all individuals, and even though there are 60 of us on the same course, same year, same tutors, we are all different, and set for our own path.

So, for a brief conclusion, I believe that studying the creative arts can help expand skills and a chance for people to make connections. It is also a journey, a journey that will be a rollercoaster of emotions, but an incredible journey to say the least, and it's fair to say that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
